Contribute Watch & Movement Data

Since this site runs as a static Single Page Application (SPA), the watch database is entirely crowd-sourced. You can add more data by opening a Pull Request (PR) on GitHub!

  1. Fork the Repository: Fork our repository on GitHub.
  2. Locate the Data Files: Go to the data/ folder.
  3. Append Data: Open the CSV files in a text editor or spreadsheet app and add a row:
    • For Watches (watches.csv): Add the retail watch model, price, and matching base movement caliber name.
    • For Movements (movements.csv): Add a new mechanical engine base with thickness, tier, beat rate, and estimated wholesale cost. Ensure the caliber name (Series) is unique!
  4. Submit PR: Commit the file change and submit a Pull Request to merge the data!

Tip: Use the form on the right to enter details, toggle tabs to switch between Watch or Movement rows, and it will output the exact CSV formatted string to copy and append directly!
